Building Owner in Penggilingan Given a Deadline

Eight buildings standing on the connection channel, RW 13, Buaran Housing Complex, Penggilingan Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta, are given a deadline until December 25 to immediately demolish building by themselves.

Considering, the demolishment warrant that has been sent was not received by building owners.

17 Buildings in Jagakarsa Demolished

"Don't feel you receive the warrant, the receiver is rented building owner. They ask for deadline," stated Head of Penggilingan Urban Village, Usdiyati, Wednesday (12/2).

Previously, on the channel, there were 10 illegal buildings as wide as three meters which empties into Amalia River. Yet, two other buildings have been demolished.

The demolishment process was blocked by building owner for negotiation. They then made statement letter to demolish building by themselves.

"Two were been demolished, and locals asked for deadline until December 25. We asked the owner to make statement letter," she expressed.

If the buildings were not demolished until a predetermined time, the urban village apparatus will demolish them forcibly.

"This is for environmental arrangement," she stressed.
